Finding your way

I offer a safe supportive therapeutic environment and empowering practice, tailoring my work to your specific needs.

Over the last 40 years I’ve worked with adults, young people and children who’ve experienced trauma and abuse either in their early lives or in current relationships where they are nervous about violence happening to them. Sessions will be invaluable to anyone who experiences a lack of calm, feels tense or nervous, or finds concentration difficult.

If you experience constant mind chatter, negative self-talk, and a lack of self-fulfilment or self-worth I can help you.

Trauma often leads to stressful lifestyles. We damage ourselves by suppressing feelings and emotions because this allows us to get by. We’ll work out together what holds you back. You can then work to attain a more fulfilled life using a number of therapeutic techniques that are well researched and evidence based. 

I use creative therapies such as drama, art and movement, play therapeutic techniques, Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, relaxation techniques, visualisation and focus, mindfulness meditation and breath work.

I can help you if you have experienced any of the following:

  • Emotional or physical adversity, violence or aggression in your life, either now or in the past
  • Toxic and blame-centric work cultures

I promise to keep you safe and supported throughout my work. During COVID19 our contact will be through Zoom meetings. You will need to have secure internet connection, and somewhere private and comfortable to go to where you will not be disturbed. I have been carrying out therapy in this way since the lockdown began and it has worked very well. I will return to working directly in my practice as soon as it is declared to be safe to do so.
